Silver and gold have I none
Friends I have only two
And if I can't count on Jesus
Then I would have no one but you

 

Jesus says he loves me
I talk to him every day
When we're alone together
He listens while I pray

 

Sometimes I think you're jealous
Because Jesus takes so much of my time
It's not that I don't love you
I just don't want to get left behind

 

God put you and me together
He blessed our love from the start
He gave me a strong back for working
And gave you common sense and a good heart

 

So let's try and pull together
Since we are on the same team
I'll hold you both so close together
Nothing or anyone can come in between

 

Friends do make a difference
As we journey thru this life
But I wouldn't want to live 
Without you for my wife
