God has performed His miracles again
By sending us another October
With its leaves of red and gold and brown
And reflections mostly sober

It's almost time to carve the pumpkins
Put the Jack-O-Lanterns on the porch
Then look forward to Thanksgiving
With all the good food, of course

The beauty of this autumn season
Makes a poet's mind meditate
About rhymes and prose and flowing words
And the verses one can create

So, I'll get some graphics from Moon And Back
Then write a poem about October
Complete with music to set the mood
Sequenced by Grandpa Frank Schober

My page is made; the poem complete
Never claimed to be a laureate whiz
Here's my poem, though short and sweet
Sorry, folks, that's all there is
