Dedicated to Dr. Andrew Krantz

I woke up feeling downright puny today
With a nagging pain in my lower back
A crick in my neck and a headache
Completed a picture of a really sad sack

I tried standing in a hot shower
Letting the heat caress my sore body
'Twas such a relief until I got out
And still felt like I'd been hit with a waddy

I wondered what could have happened
To put my body in such a sore mess
Was it the lifting, the tugging or the bending?
I overdid it, I must confess

Except for my medical appointments
My social life is practically nil
But I kind of enjoy being a hermit
So, going places doesn't give me a thrill

I might as well just bite the bullet
And give Dr. Krantz' office a call
Get dressed and then fight the traffic
That, on Monday, just seems to crawl

But I know that I'm going to feel better
When on the chiropractor's table I plop
Ah, the massaging, the stretching and adjustment
And the relief of that Snap! Crackle! Pop!
