Snowflakes dancing in the breeze
Candle glow and wreaths of holly
Santa Claus all red and jolly



Shoppers scurrying down the streets
Mother baking holiday treats
Wrapping gifts of red and green
Star shining o'er the nativity scene



Staying busy far into the night
Warming by the fireplace bright
Crystals on frosty window panes
Tooting of the little toy trains



People decorating their yards
Sending lots of Christmas cards
Visiting family and friends
Spreading joy that never ends



Sleigh bells ringing in the lane
Tis the season once again
Carolers sing with joy and mirth
Voices heard all 'round the Earth



Stockings from the mantle hung
Keeping secrets both old and young
Skating on the frozen creek
Greeting strangers that we meet



Praying for our soldiers dear
In foreign countries so far from here
Wishing for the war to cease
Looking toward a world of peace



Church bells ringing loud and clear
Tell us Christmas Day is here
Celebrating this wonderful season
Mindful of its glorious reason
