The winter season is ushered in
Its wondrous beauty I embrace
Pulling my muffler up around my chin
Loving the coolness on my face



It's very early on a Saturday morning
As I walk through the quiet park
The snow came with nary a warning
For a day so bleak and stark



There are rays of sunshine in my soul
As I breathe in the cold, fresh air
Looking at an old park bench, I behold
A little cardinal shivering there



Lacy snowflakes nestling in my hair
The white landscape truly a blessing
Amazed at the beauty and the flair
Displayed today in God's window dressing
