Watching another beautiful sunset
As the day comes to a close
Evening shadows dance to and fro
In a portrait of sweet repose

Relaxing amid the shadows
A distant star twinkles overhead
Happy thoughts evade my mind
Silent time before going to bed

Daydreaming of times so long ago
When our lives still lay before us
Daddy strumming his old guitar
As our voices rang in chorus

Enjoying our times together
Making wonderful memories
Listening to the night sounds
The soft rustling of the trees

Knowing that time is as fleeting
As a whisper in a gentle wind
Feeling as one with nature
As the day comes to an end

Bowing my head in reverence
My heart is silently praying
And somewhere in this peaceful night
I hear a guitar softly playing
