In the darkest hour of midnight,
one I love came to my dreams.
He had only come to tell me
that he knew my pain and grief.
In my dream, I saw him clearly.
The look of love was on his face.
"Please don't grieve for me, my darling."
"I'm saving you a place."
“Live your life; enjoy each day
and never waste a minute.”
“Life’s too short to live in sorrow;
enjoy the good things in it.”
“When it’s your time to leave this world,
I'll be there to take your hand."
“Make things right before you go
and I'll see you in that Land."
He placed a kiss upon my face,
whispered, “I love you,” and was gone.
My heart cried out, “Please stay with me,”
but again he left me all alone.
In my heart I hold a treasure.
It is buried there to stay.
His sweet memory lingers with me.
I’ll be with him again one day.
