From The Heart
A life cut short before its time
Left us to wonder why
One so filled with promise
Who didn't need to die
Dreaming things that all girls do
Of true love everlasting
Then a fickle heart betrayed
Her wildest fears surpassing
Turmoil filled her every thought
And crept into her slumber
No peace when sleeping nor awake
And nightmares without number
Thoughts of death now filled her mind
But she dismissed the thought
How could she leave her loved ones
And count her life for naught
Struggles are behind her now
No longer does she pine
For love that was but is no more
To dying, she resigned
We're left without our sister
Who chose to depart
Our grieving knows no boundary
And our love is from the heart
