Everyone has some strongholds in their lives, even you. Once upon a time, we were free from strongholds, but as we got older we allowed these strongholds to steal our joy. This is a story of a vision given to me by God to show my freedom from these holds on my life.

It all started a few weeks before Christmas of 2008. I saw a vision of a furnace with me inside, yet the Lord God put these words in my mind. Words He spoke many years ago..."and you will come out of the furnace and not even smell like smoke."

Weeks passed and in the vision I was moving toward the left side of the furnace. It was strange to see this in my mind, even though my stronghold was still obvious in my life, I started to have less fear every time I remembered what God had said to me about coming out of this not smelling like smoke. The vision was now showing me as being represented by a leaf, but now the leaf was moving outside of the furnace. I was concerned because the dry leaf still was connected to the stronghold, as if a part of the leaf was stuck on Velcro™. Suddenly, I realized the stronghold was connected to the furnace and not ME! The stronghold was still being fed by the furnace, but it had lost its control and strength over me! Just like in times long, long ago I too have been set free.
