"Praise ye the Lord. Praise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power. Praise him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his excellent greatness. Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp. Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs. Praise him upon the loud cymbals: praise him upon the high sounding cymbals. Let every thing that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord."

Psalm 150
King James Version

Heavenly Father, we give You thanks for all You have done for us and for all that You do for us every day. Indeed You are worthy to be praised. We praise You and thank You for loving us so much that You opened up Your heart of compassion and gave us Your Son to become our Saviour. Thank You for caring about us and for forgiving us when we fail and hurt You so many times. May we be children who bring joy and happiness to Your heart instead of disobedient children who hurt You and make You sad. Amen.

Are we praising God even when we are going through difficult and heart breaking situations? We are instructed in the Bible to praise Him at all times. Sometimes it is very hard and difficult for us to praise Him when our hearts are breaking. It was very difficult and heartbreaking for our dear Heavenly Father to send His beloved Son into the world knowing in advance that His precious Son was going to be tortured, abused and crucified on a cross of horror and agony so that we can be saved but He did it.

No matter how many heart breaking and difficult situations and problems we have, our loving Heavenly Father hasn't changed and He is still worthy to be praised. He is still in control and He is still sitting on His throne watching over us to protect us from all harm and danger. He is still our compassionate, forgiving and loving Heavenly Father. He loved us yesterday; He loves us today and He will love us tomorrow. What a mighty God we serve! We need to praise Him always with our hearts overflowing with love and gratitude for Him at all times and in every situation.

We should start praising Him when we wake up. We should continue to praise Him during the day. When we go to bed, our hearts should be overflowing with praise for our dear Heavenly Father. Our Scripture verse tells us "Let every thing that hath breath praise the Lord. Are you praising the Lord even in the midst of sorrow and trials? If you aren't, you are breaking His heart. He is worthy to be praised every minute of the day!
