God is my scared companion
God is my friend
God is my confidant
who lovingly and patiently listens to me
whether I am expressing my deepest concerns
or my highest hopes



God comforts me and helps me cope
with the cards I am dealt
and the negativity and sorrows sometimes felt



God whips me back to reality with his divine belt
I lift up my prayers on bended knee I am knelt
Cause God is the power and the glory
