Thanksgiving is the time for families to gather
To give thanks for those they cherish and love
Parents and children gather together
All precious gifts from our loving God above



We gather together as a reminder of all
The love we received throughout our life
Beginning at birth with our parent's entrust 
Down to the joining of love with husband or wife



And we carry on with this great order of life
Bringing forth new children to continue God's flow
And soon we evolve and clearly recognize
As our children carry on with grandchildren to know



The total of this all continues to spell love
As the grand accumulation of God's greatest gift
With bonding and love to take it's rightful place
To become the thanksgiving we raise and uplift
