You were given to me for just a sunrise
And just as beautiful in my eyes.
Like the sunrise, it started quiet and slow
And over time, began to grow.


It grew hot, as the sun will do
Just as the love I have for you.
But as the sun rises, it also sets
Bringing a love I'll never forget.


But unlike the sun that goes down for the day,
Know my love for you won't go away.
And as sure as the sun will surely rise,
I know we'll have to say our good-byes.


And like that beautiful sunrise too,
I know I'll never forget you.
As sweet and as beautiful as the sun
For me, you'll always be the only one.
