Come let us frolic and play. Like it was just yesterday. Of course we both know It's really just a big show. Childhood memories will have to suffice. Even though they will not be as precise. Lovely carefree days give way to pain & strife. Which are the substance of ordinary life. Adulthood becomes cluttered with the essence Of decision, responsibility & independence. No longer aspects of our lost adolescence Soon giving way to impending convalescence. Where! Oh where! have the years gone. Yesterday has given way to a new dawn Our little children are now grown We are left facing the future all alone. Only the Lord knows what's in store With Jesus we maintain great rapport Because of that we have no fear. For with Him we face a new frontier. ©Carol G.
